Hi, I'm Mumu, co-founder of MIMIC EAR. I've always loved the closeness of cleaning my family's ears, and long admired the swift, precise craft of Sichuan's ear-cleaning masters. When a chance came to learn caier here in Taiwan, I practised on my family — and everyone said it felt wonderful!
My husband felt this rare, deeply comforting form of care deserved to be known by many more people. With his encouragement, we decided to open an ear-care studio together.
We both believe caier belongs in a place as relaxed and easeful as your own home. Only when you fully unwind — no tension, no tight muscles — can you sink into that unique, tingling ASMR bliss. So everything here, from the location to the space, the aromas to the music, serves one theme:building a space that feels like coming home.
The name
MIMIC sounds like mimi (みみ) — Japanese for "ear" — and MIMIC EAR reads as MIMI CARE. It's an intuitive name with layered meanings, chosen so an international brand could help share Mumu's refined, Taiwanese take on caier. The subtitles "Mumu Caier" and "Ear-Cleaning Specialists" tell first-time visitors at a glance exactly what we do.
Our spirit
In Mumu's hands, the feather stick becomes a conductor's baton — a magician's wand — leading each guest into their own ear-cleaning dreamscape, deep in rest, and waking renewed and radiant.
